In addition to an overview of the generic procedures followed by professional damage management practitioners when dealing with water and flood damage, the course will cover:
Measuring moisture in building materials, accurately to avoid extended drying periods
Correctly identifying the most efficient drying systems for each loss.
Understanding how to classify water incidents to help make better decisions
How drying systems can be used to significantly reduce the scope of building work
Which materials and building designs affect drying, and how they can be dealt with
Ways to control indemnity spend in general and improve the customer’s experience
Identifying common building faults that may hinder your drying protocols
Being able to better understand psychrometrics and how this applies to day to day water losses.
Please note that this is a practical course and dress accordingly.
Please bring your own moisture meter for use during the course. If you do not have one, different types of meters will be available to you during the training.
As this is a generic course with no affiliation to any specific manufacturer, we want you to gain the most knowledge of the equipment you own.
