Relevant To

Individuals entering the industry or wishing to develop a better understanding of basic damage management protocols and procedures. Particularly relevant to those aiming to sit the BDMA Technician examination in order to gain professional qualification and accreditation as a BDMA Technician.

Objectives

The course aims to provide delegates with basic knowledge of damage management procedures and best practice in-line with the BDMA Standards. It is anticipated that completion of the course, combined with further study of the BDMA Training Manual, the BDMA Standards and the relevant Examination Syllabus, will equip students with sufficient knowledge to competently deliver basic damage management solutions and be in a position to sit the BDMA Technician examination if they wish to progress to accreditation as a BDMA Technician.

Content

The course is based on the official BDMA Damage Management Training Manual, in accordance with the BDMA Standards, and will cover basic entry level damage management knowledge necessary for competent delivery of best practice solutions. It will focus on water, flood and fire damage with additional instruction on contents, customer relations, health & safety and basic insurance property claims activity. In addition to the BDMA Training Manual and Standards, the relevant Examination Syllabus will also be referenced.

NOTES:

* The course fee of £250 applies to existing individual BDMA Associates and Members who own a registered copy of the BDMA Official Training & Reference Manual

* Course fee of £275 applies to new applicants or those who are not already registered as owning a copy of the training manual. The fee includes provision of a registered copy of the BDMA Official Training & Reference Manual.  Complimentary individual BDMA Associate Membership is included for new applicants.

• Attendance on this course does not carry any qualification or accreditation. Students aiming to progress to accreditation as a BDMA Technician will be required to meet the full criteria for this category prior to sitting the relevant examination.
