The BDMA welcomes two new directors!

The BDMA is pleased to announce the appointment of two new directors to the board.

They will play a vital role in supporting the BDMA’s mission to represent the interests of practitioners working in the damage management industry.

Learn more about each director below:

Gavin Smith, Managing Director at Vinci Response

Gavin started in the damage management industry as a field-based trainee technician in 1999, learning basic skills of assessing peril-related damaged properties and restoration technique’s.
Over the years he has fine-tuned his skill set relating to damage restoration and obtaining BDMA technician accreditation.
In 2019 Gavin set up Vinci Response and is now the managing director overseeing 2 operational depots and national delivery of damage restoration services.

 

Willie Keane, Director and Chartered Engineer at Niall Keely & Associates

Willie is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a Fellow Member of Engineers Ireland. He is also a Registered European and International Professional Engineer, a Qualified Trainer, and holds a Diploma in Construction Law. Additionally, Willie has obtained certificates in Project Management, Building Regulations, Building Control Legislation, and Building Energy Rating.
 
Willie began his career in 2004, specialising in the investigation and resolution of construction defects and damage to dwellings while working with a national latent defects provider. He later joined Niall Keely & Associates, where he currently serves as a Director specialising in property damage, and has attained the BDMA Claims Technician accreditation.
