On Saturday, 14 June 2025, The Restoration Rangers proudly took part in the Humber Bridge Soap Box Derby — a high-energy day of racing, engineering, and community spirit, all in support of Hull 4 Heroes, a charity helping veterans transition to civilian life.

We are proud to announce we placed second out of 18 teams, after a day of exciting head-to-head racing. Our gravity powered cart performed brilliantly, thanks to the dedication and teamwork of our crew. John Thompson, Peter Brown, Paul Bargh, Adrian Jolly, and driver Matthew Thompson — your passion and teamwork made this all possible.

We were also honoured to win the Charity Sponsorship Award for raising the most donations of any team at the event! This incredible achievement was only possible because of the generosity of our donors and supporters. We raised a fantastic £1558!
Your contributions made a real impact — and we can’t thank you enough for standing with us and supporting Hull 4 Heroes.

Thank you once again for being part of this journey—whether you donated, cheered us on, shared our story, or simply watched the ride!
