KITCHEN WARE

Utensils and appliances intended for use in a kitchen.


KNICK-KNACK

A small article usually intended for decoration or ornament.


LACRIMATION

Secretion and discharge of tears.


LAMINAR FLOW

A _sheet_ of airflow running parallel to and over the surface of a material to sweep evaporating moisture away.


LAMINATE

A product made by bonding together two or more layers of material, e.g., plywood, laminated counters, etc.; to bond layers of material into a composite with an adhesive.


LATENT DAMAGE

Damage not yet apparent but which may occur at a subsequent time.


LATEX

Emulsion based adhesive, forming a rubberised bond between two natural fibre materials


LEDGER

In frame construction, a horizontal member which is attached to a wall, beam or posts for the purpose of supporting the ends of joists etc.


LEGIONNAIRES DISEASE

A severely contagious disease with chills, fever and flu-like symptoms, caused by the bacterium, Legionnella pneumophila, which grows in warm stagnant water.


LIABILITY

The actual or potential obligation to pay out funds for some cause or injury.
