Damage Management Technician of the year

Open to all current accredited BDMA Technicians. The winner of this award will be an individual who:

  • shows dedication, professionalism, and application in their work
  • works to develop their potential and demonstrates a clear understanding of client expectations
  • shows a significant level of care for their clients
  • demonstrates concern for the overall sustainability of buildings and contents
  • advocates restoration techniques to deliver value for money and sustainable outcomes
Claims Technician of the year

Open to all current accredited BDMA Claims Technicians. The winner of this award an individual dealing with property claims who:

  • demonstrates professionalism and integrity in their day-to-day role
  • strives to exceed client expectations
  • has made a significant contribution in the last 2 years to either their own organisation or the wider insurance industry
Insurance Technician of the year

Open to all current accredited BDMA Insurance Technicians. The judges will be looking for an individual who works within the property claims process and:

  • shows an understanding of the damage management industry
  • collaborates effectively with all parties involved in a claim
  • applies best practice standards to all aspects of their work
  • has made a significant contribution in the last 2 years to either their own organisation or the wider insurance industry
Commercial Technician of the year

Open to all current accredited BDMA Commercial Technicians. The judges will be looking for an individual who:

  • shows dedication, professionalism, and application in their work
  • works to develop their potential
  • demonstrates a clear understanding of client expectations
  • shows a significant level of care for their clients
  • demonstrates concern for overall sustainability of buildings and contents
Specialist Restorer of the year

This award will be presented to an individual or company who:

  • exceeds client expectations through the provision of key specialist restoration services
  • shows a high degree of professionalism
  • consistently demonstrates the adoption of sustainable methods and processes
Young Achiever of the year

The winner of this award will be an individual aged 30 or under who is a member of the BDMA and:

  • makes good use of any available opportunities
  • shows significant progress in career advancement
  • clearly evidences their contribution to their organisation
  • carries out business aligned activities external to their organisation
Sustainable Project of the year: Domestic Property

The judges will be looking for a domestic property recovery or restoration project that evidences significant attention to sustainable practices demonstrating:

  • professionalism with a focus on customer care and client satisfaction
  • value for money
  • the sustainability of the overall project outcome
  • embedded principles of sustainability within their business operations
  • a strong focus on advocating restoration for both water and fire claims
Sustainable Project of the year: Commercial Property

The judges will be looking for a commercial property recovery or restoration project that evidences significant attention to sustainable practices, demonstrating:

  • professionalism with focus on customer care and client satisfaction
  • value for money
  • the sustainability of the overall project outcome
  • embedded principles of sustainability within their business operations
  • a strong focus on advocating restoration for both water and fire claims
Supplier or Manufacturer of the year

The judges will be looking for a supplier or manufacturer to the damage management industry who has evidenced significant innovation over the last 2 years demonstrating:

  • evidence of effective collaboration with clients to improve the customer journey exceeding expectations
  • an outstanding response to a single event beyond normal operational requirements
  • the use of technology to improve processes, remove complexity and deliver a seamless process
  • focus on the delivery of sustainable outcomes
  • testimonials from satisfied clients
Best use of Digital Technology

This category focuses on the effective and agile use of technology supporting the journey to digitisation in the damage management and wider industry. The judges will be looking for examples of how technology adopted within the last 2 years was used to:

  • demonstrate how technology was used to benefit and improve the efficiency of a project
  • improve customer satisfaction and engagement
  • enhance the delivery of the organisation’s ESG programme
  • improve the delivery of operational services
  • remove complexity from processes improving the customer journey and reducing costs
Outstanding Service Provider of the Year

This award will be presented to an organisation that has made an outstanding contribution to the property claims industry in the last 2 years. The judges will be looking for examples of:

  • a significant initiative supporting delivery of a major project or operational service resulting in meaningful improvements in customer or client satisfaction
  • entries are encouraged from all areas of the industry
  • entries can be submitted either individually or jointly by organisations who have collaborated to deliver a partnership solution
