ChemDry Excel – Fire and Flood Restoration Technician

ChemDry Excel is a Birmingham-based cleaning company, which covers the whole of the West Midlands. We are a growing company and always looking for talented staff to join us. We currently have an opportunity for a BDMA Qualified technician to join our team on a full-time basis for an immediate start.

Your role:

• To inspect damaged properties and or contents as a result of an unexpected fire or flood.
  • To liaise with the insurance company confirming the damage and the required works.
  • To compile an action plan of what works will be required to reinstate property to pre-loss condition.
  • To liaise sympathetically with policyholders who have experienced this loss.
  • To collect payments if and when appropriate.
  • To prepare quotations.
  • To carry out risk assessments and to be health and safety aware.
  • To install equipment into properties when necessary.
  • To liaise and co-ordinate with other trades people; removals, skip hire, plumber, etc.
  • The role involves you taking responsibility for the management of your working schedule, maintaining good relationships with clients, reporting any feedback or requests back to the office.
  • The role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced criminal records check.

You must:

• Be BDMA qualified
  • Have a confident telephone manner
  • Be efficient in using technology and writing reports
  • Be able to communicate with customers in a professional manner.
  • Have the ability to listen to instruction and carry out tasks as requested
  • Be able to use their own initiative to make decisions for the best interests of the business.
  • Have excellent time management

A full clean driving license is essential. A company vehicle will be provided.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000
